Lemons And Champagne
The fresh, summer details from Beth and Russell’s big day were incredible and all on display at the ceremony and the reception. If you look closely at the altar you’ll see lemon trees on either side. Our favorite part was their reception entrance at the Briscoe Western Art Museum where they kicked off the party with a champagne tower pour. As a San Antonio wedding photographer, you’re always worried about the weather for a summer wedding. It could not have been more perfect on Beth and Russell’s wedding day. Everyone was able to sip their cocktails on the Briscoe patio and enjoy a nice breeze. Check out the lemon printed fans they had just in case of a heat wave! The Cloche girls even gave Beth a lemon purse as a gift!
San Antonio Wedding Photographer Tip: Benefits Of A First Look
Beth and Russell really wanted to attend their cocktail hour (not only for the champagne tower but to mingle with their guests!) Doing a first look allowed us to photograph the couple, their bridal party and their family all before the ceremony even started. Not to mention, first looks are fun! You get the jitters out and are able to have some quiet time with your soon-to-be-spouse before the party portion takes over. It also allowed us to do a few portraits during golden hour by the river. If we had done all their portraits after the ceremony by the altar we wouldn’t have arrived at the reception till dark. Think about how first looks can affect your timing as far as the itinerary of the day and location of the sun.
